We are so excited to be opening up our farm for visitors today. We are closed from mid December till the week of Valentine's Day each year to give winter a chance to quiet the farm and allow our lavender plants to sleep. We also take the day closed for winter to plan our gardens, sow flower seeds, propagate lavender, and expand our farm with new sights on the farm. This year our new sight is Lucy, our new high tunnel greenhouse, will allow us to begin growing early spring flowers for you. We weren't able to get it up and ready till February, but have gone ahead and ordered our flower plugs: Lisis, Snapdragons, Larkspurs, Poppies, Foxgloves, and or ranunculus and anemones corms for Mother's Day bouquets!
We are now sowing seeds in or grow light system and have all our tulips planted.
We also were able to get in on the Floret specialty seed order. We are over the moon that we got a lot of her seeds for our farm from Dahlias, Zinnias, and Celosia. These were very expensive seeds, 17.95 for 50 zinnia seeds and 15.95 for only 25 Dahlia seeds. But defiantly worth it! All flowers will have amazing colors, perfect for weddings! All of these flowers will be blooming this summer.
Plant Sale
We have also planned our Plant Sale for lavender and flowering plants for April 20th! So don't miss the opportunity to be able to get some of these beauties for your home garden. All the lavender plants we sell are ones we know grow well in Georgia. We might even have a few of the Floret flowering plants too for sale.
New Products
Winter months also allow us time to let our creative juices flow to create and test new lavender products for us. This year we have a new whipped body butter with a true mix of lavender and mimosa - perfect Valentine's Day gift. We also have new sprays, bath bombs, and Valentine's Day Gift Sets! So be sure to get our specialty new products before the sell out. They are wow winners!
